- A Day To Remeber -

1. Split a whole glass of water onto laptop!
2. Hockey training
3. Met Mrs. Black...

Had my hockey training till 3. Reached home at about 4pm, ate a very late light lunch, then went for a comfortable long bath. (Still pretty disturbed by my laptop.) Was supposed to meet Mrs. Black at 6.30pm @ Metro Paragon, but made sure this time i got there by 6! Left home at about 5.30pm.

Just before i alighted at the next stop, Mrs. Black called and asked me where i was. Think she was really shocked to hear that i was already there, cos she was still at home lor! (KAO!!) So she tried to rush down while i walked around at Orchard MRT Popular. Eventually i fell asleep at a staircase.

She arrived at about 6.45pm, and we made our way to Ding Tai Feng restaurant at Paragon. Its quite similar to Crystal Jade's La Mian Xiao Long Bao...the kind of food they serve, the way you queue, etc. Our queue number was 161! Had to wait for about 20mins before our turn. Mrs. Black kept complaining about how hungry she was, boasting about how the xiao long bao there was better than Crystal Jade's, drooling at the "rice fried in egg" dish etc. Come on lor, that dish is how easy to prepare at home, nothing special at all...=p But she was just as talkative as before, and we chatted until our number was finally flashed, and we rushed to the counter like a gush of wind. One waitress came up to greet us, and led us to our table. It was jus pretty funny the way she spoke...i think i was the taiwanese accent in her chinese...and i giggled, and she saw me! Haha, how embarassin...=p Then we sat down and continued chatting while we waited for our food. I swear, the spotlight shinin rite above me was makin me perspire like mad. Tis a bad bad idea to use spotlights in restaraunts that serve hot soupy stuff!

The dishes finally arrived! (Din take long actually.) We ordered 8 xiao long baos, a plate of rice fried in egg with pork chop, and a bowl of plain soy sauce noodle. Was quite a lot to me, considering i've been eating puny amounts in hall. These dishes can definitely last me a few days lah! So we tucked in. Oh, fyi, the xiao long baos in Ding Tai Feng restaurants have at least 18 folds on the skin...so if u manage to find one with less than 18 folds, u could prob ask for a refund or something...haha! But seriously, the xiao long bao was wonderful. The noodles, hmmm...kinda tasted like instant noodles. As for the almighty rice fried in egg dish...ok lah, it was quite tasty...but i'm still quite sure i can easily prepare it at home! =) So as usual, i did most of the eating (tho she claimed she did), and we finally finished everything...felt super full, and she claimed she felt the same...BUT...

After paying, she immediately pulled me to the ice-cream shop lor! She was machiam drooling at all the flavours can...i mean, how full can a person get if she can still DROOL at ICE-CREAM?! I will neva forget that excitement she had on her face... So sadly, i had to force more room in my poor tummy to accomodate half a cup of chocolate ice-cream to satisfy her. This Mrs. Black is really...unbelieveable. After THIS desert, she actually craved for MORE DESERT! Goodness...and i really thought she was on a diet...*shrugs* Thank god she gave in this time...

As we walked towards the MRT, Mrs. Black stopped to buy some Famous Amous (spell check) cookies for Mr. Black. My all time favourite is the macadamia n choc chip cookie...simply irreplaceable! =) Heh, but Mr. Black likes the plain choc chip ones (yulks!), so she got those for him. Then we sat down outside Orchard MRT, and i had the remaining 3 'sticks'. From there, we talked abit about how each other picked up the 'sticks', how she used to do it without me knowing, to how Mr. Black hates it. We also talked about her life now, my situation etc. Twas really a nice and cool 3 'sticks' (1 'stick' is approx. 5 min). Almost like the perfect chill out...jus that this was really short.

And finally, she had to go...Mr. Black was already waiting for her since dunno wat time... Oh well, we had a sweet good-bye hug, and then we parted.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Lee Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Am back from school. Quiz was better than i thought! Think i only studied less than two chapters, and i scored 11 outta 15! Haha, not bad eh? Felt good, despite having the lowest score in class...=p

Had lunch with nic and pl. Was the best meal i've had so far...YUM, tho tis only chicken katsu don. Shows how pathetic my diet has been. But yet again, i can't believe i spent 4 bucks on that plus a cup of ribena. Relatively cheap compared to outside school, but am really trying to cut costs here. Will probably go back to eatin biscuits and cup noodles...

Sat in for about 5 minutes of lecture and decided to leave...the stupid lecturer was c*ck! Can't read his writing, can't make out wat he's mumbling, and worst part was i din even know wat he was teaching...so since (in econs terms) my marginal cost of staying is higher than my marginal benefit (haha, tt's wat i always tell myself when i decide to skip lecture), it's only right to go. I'm tired anyway!
